DCC’s Teen Arts and Action Program (TAAP) Presented their Documentary to the Mayor and City Council

TeensMeetMayorThis summer our Teen Arts in Action Program held a 5 week workshop discussing the issues of violence and local resources. The teens filmed the workshop and produced a documentary chronicling their experience. On September 15th, the teens presented this film to the Mayor and City Council of El Mirage. As a result of their work, the City has agreed to begin discussions with DCC leadership regarding their potential support for TAAP.

We are so proud of the youth in our program. Please read their declaration through the link below and watch their video to see the results of their hard work and commitment!
